Revisiting a sketchbook

I love drawing in sketchbooks but it's gotten to the point where I have too many sketchbooks that I loose track of which ones I should be doing what in. So today I decided that I would go back to a sketchbook I started using in 2015 and got about 1/5 of the way into it and stopped for no reason. So I came up with the idea of just using a page or making a note saying that you are revisiting the sketchbook and what year you are revisiting it at. Then start doodling and sketching away. I did this so that if I want to show someone my recent work together instead of showing multiple books I can just show them this one and have an obvious way of saying that this is my new stuff instead of explaining it all. It also makes the book a bit tidier and dated. A tip to avoid sketchbook hoping is to not BUY a sketchbook if it is not needed however if you are starting a new project or a new theme then go ahead.

Just today I filled three pages with body proportions, hand drawings and 2 outlined drawings. I want to start using my sketchbook for more practise and outlined uncoloured drawings as I prefer to colour and edit them digitally. I've also found a drawing technique that works best for me and that's to draw a basic sketch in coloured pencil, lightly then pressed firmly for more detail, then a normal pencil outline and when i'm happy with the outcome then I do a pen outline.
